The luxury Southwestern saguaro RV bus conversion was a major custom job and we loved every minute of it. Taking a look at the gorgeous finished exterior in the desert seems appropriate for this extensive RV upgrade.
RV living just got a lot more interesting.
RV Exterior—Driver’s Side
This 1994 MCI bus was first converted back in 2000 and needed some Leisure Coachworks magic to be brought up to date. The team spent a lot of time and did a lot of research to make every detail of this coach exterior perfect.
A unique feature of this bus conversion is hiding behind custom rub rails and a CG glass window. The bay of this MCI RV bus is accessible from both outside and inside and can be used as a kids’ play area!
The air conditioner was relocated next to the wash-down area. On the other side of that beautifully appointed space is a brand new freshwater tank opening created by the Leisure Coachworks team.
This exterior space is covered by an old door that’s been modified, reshaped, and mounted to look like part of the original design.
The Arizona sunset mural, airbrushed by hand, is an RV exterior highlight. Girard awnings extend five feet to provide some shade. The front and rear endcaps are blended perfectly into the awning system.
The rear of the MCI bus is fitted with new exhaust tips and proximity sensors. Also on display are cameras that are part of the amazing Omni-View camera system that gives the driver a 360-degree view.
RV Exterior—Passenger’s Side
Girard Nova II awnings fully extend and drop down to provide plenty of shade anywhere the coach is parked. A new basement residential-style air conditioner hides behind more rub rail.
New Leisure LED exterior RV lighting all around provides light for safety and recreation. The solar controller and battery bank ensure plenty of power for this coach.
The front of the MCI bus has a diamond shield coating to protect the paint from rocks on the road.
RV Exterior—Roof
This roof is a showcase of modern technology and attention to detail. TV antenna, Dish satellite, and solar panels sit alongside vents and the escape hatch. Surrounding those upgrades is a custom-built Girard awning integration system for a seamless look.
