MCI Bus Conversion – Final Reveal | Ep5

It’s time to see the final result of our MCI bus conversion. This big build deserves a big reveal, so we’re heading to the desert. The bus looks gorgeous as it heads down the highway.

The bright desert sun is the perfect place to bring out the awnings. Nova awnings on the driver’s side and full extension Nova II on the passenger side supply ample shade in even the sunniest conditions.

Bus Conversion Exterior

The exterior of this build is filled with upgrades and custom features. New tires, a high-shine rub rail, and Leisure LED lighting are just the beginning. The Arizona desert sunset murals personalize this RV conversion and turn this bus into a rolling piece of art.

Practical features don’t have to look boring. All new lights, front and rear, a 360 view camera system, and even the new bumper look sleek and modern. The rear proximity sensors take the guesswork out of parking.

The new Giraffe height system protects the bus conversion from low clearance collisions. The front diamond shield protects from rock chips and the custom paint job complements the murals.

MCI Bus Conversion Interior Living Area

The first glimpse of the interior shows a continuation of the desert theme, with saguaro cactus details accenting the gorgeous leather seats and console. The front panel is completely new, sleek, and functional. Controls for the height system and rear cameras are easily accessible.

The interior is a stunning blend of function and style.

This bus conversion features cherry wood and creamy leather with Southwestern patterns accenting the walls and furnishings.

Benches and a booth convert into beds and a fully functional kitchen rounds out the front of the interior space.

With a bus conversion build of this magnitude, there are a lot of interior switches and controls. We concealed the switches behind a decorative panel in the living area. The power systems controls are in a beautiful cherry wood cabinet.
The highlight of this front section may well be the hand-made pocket door we installed to separate the front of the bus conversion from the back.

Bus Conversion Interior Bedroom Area

Once that pocket door is closed, the bedroom area becomes a serene oasis filled with luxury, custom features.

We stayed consistent with the gorgeous cherry wood in this space. Environmental controls for heating and air conditioning, including floor heaters, are in this area.

A custom-built cedar-lined closet, plenty of drawers, and a washer and dryer are all convenient, accessible, and fronted by that deep-toned cherry.

The bedroom is an absolute haven.

A queen-sized bed, built-in storage and side tables, and plenty of lighting options make this space serene and welcoming at the end of a long day. Continuing the Southwestern patterned accents keep the design of this build cohesive from front to back.

Also incorporated into this space is a small work area. All of the necessary computer hook-ups are built-in and easily accessible.

MCI Bus Conversion Kitchen

With ample interior space, we were able to include a full-sized residential refrigerator into this ultimate RV upgrade. The stainless steel fridge sits next to two cooktops, one diesel and one electric.

Opposite the fridge are hand-built cupboards including a vertical pull-out pantry. A small coffee bar adds another personal touch to the space.

This amazing kitchen even has a dishwasher.

Space-Saving RV Design

Even in a large bus conversion, space-saving details are vital. Adding cup holders, cabinets, outlets, and chargers to inconspicuous areas makes the living area even more functional.

The TV and sound system also incorporate extra storage space that doubles as access for future upgrades.

Southwestern Decor

The entire interior is equipped with MCD shades for privacy. When opened they allow for maximum sunlight and nearly disappear into the overall design.

Throughout this custom bus conversion are elements of Southwestern décor to make sure that the finished project matches the customer’s vision. Colors, patterns, and gorgeous inlaid tiles keep the vibe flowing throughout the interior.

Plenty of Back-Ups

This bus conversion includes considerable system redundancy. With backup heating, cooling, cooking, and other functions, the customer has peace of mind when traveling.

These backup systems are artfully installed with space-saving designs. Giving everything in an RV conversion more than a single purpose makes the most of every square inch of available space.
