The Leisure Coachworks team continues its MCI RV bus conversion. More RV upgrades, more custom builds, and a new tour of all the hard work.
Exterior Tour
Nicknamed the Saguaro Build, this bus conversion has a Southwestern theme. The first new feature outside is a new opening for a bigger access door. Right next to the wash-down area, the cut-out will be reinforced and fitted with an MCI door for authenticity.
Rub rails and batteries are installed and we get a look at the complex wiring for a bus conversion of this size and complexity. And we’re headed inside!
Interior Tour
The decorative floor tiles have been placed at the front of the RV, surrounded by dry-set neutral colored tile to showcase the Southwestern colors. More tiles need to be cut to fit around table legs and openings to finish this section of flooring.
The granite kitchen counter is in place. The diesel and electric cooktops and sink are installed and the microwave is in place. The coffee bar is set and the drawers are installed across from the refrigerator opening.
The crew is cutting tile for the rest of the floors and laying it out to create the pattern that will flow from front to back. Underneath the dry-set tile, the floor heating is installed.
In the bedroom, the saguaro theme is in and above the headboard. Throughout the rest of the RV conversion are similar backlit saguaros and Southwestern patterns that tie the décor together.
The custom granite shower walls are complete, forming a unique wishbone pattern. Vents are installed and the plastic trim is coated so it can be stained to match the interior wood.
This bus conversion is a great example of the craftsmanship and attention to detail that the Leisure Coachworks team puts into every RV repair, upgrade, and conversion.
