Leisure Coachworks is selling the rare, vintage, 1989 307LE Airstream motorhome that was going to become a cigar lounge. Let’s take a look at how far we got into the RV remodel as Jon takes us on a tour of this classic coach.
We started with the nuts and bolts: the engine, transmission, brakes, and tires. Over $20,000 went into making this beauty road-worthy. Our team then gutted the interior and we mocked up the cigar lounge design.
You’ll see that the heavy lifting is all done. The Airstream was completely emptied, leaving a fantastic blank slate. You can use the current mock-up and have a mobile cigar lounge, or decide you’d like to do something different.
You can see all the wiring, plumbing, and even a damaged area of the floor so you know exactly what you’re getting with this vintage vehicle. There won’t be any surprises later. We’ll let you know upfront about any issues we discovered as we prepared this motorhome for its transformation.
We kept some of the items that came out of the vintage Airstream. Components such as the shower pan, most of the holding tanks, and even some of the panels.
