When we last visited this 2000 Renegade ToterHome (watch episode one here) it needed a major makeover. The vehicle was in good shape but the interior just didn’t reflect the customer’s vision. It was outdated with a lot of dark burgundy carpet and furniture.
Rather than buying a new vehicle, they came to Leisure Coachworks to have their RV interior transformed. The result? The inside of this show hauler looks brand new—like it just rolled off the lot.
Instead of ripping everything out and buying new, the team worked with the elements that were still in excellent shape. This ToterHome had terrific hardwood cabinets throughout. The RV interior remodel kept those cabinets while refreshing the space to make it more open, modern, and functional.
The first thing you’ll notice as we head inside is that the burgundy is gone! In its place is an updated, neutral grey color palette. The dark carpet on the floors is now a light, easy-to-care-for hard surface. In the front of the cab is grey carpet with a mat that can be cleaned to keep everything fresh.
The team removed all the cabinet doors, then sanded and re-stained the entire cabinets a contemporary grey. Inside, the cabinets got a new inlay to freshen up the color. The team replaced an old CRT TV with a new, sleek, larger flat screen.
When it was time for furniture, the old two-booth dining area was replaced with a single long booth seat, opening up the space. In the slide-out room, the old, worn burgundy couch was replaced with two gorgeous, comfortable Euro chairs.
The slide out also needed the Leisure Coachworks team’s expert RV repair service. One of the walls was bowed and needed straightening to keep dirt and debris out of this beautiful new cabin.
Not to be outdone by the new living area, the ToterHome kitchen has a brand-new look with upgraded appliances. The new counter is white with grey marbling. It complements the rest of the interior and gives a pop of brightness to the entire coach. A new sink, cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator provide functional upgrades for the customer.
For comfort in the cabin, the team installed a new roof air conditioner with a heat pump. This vehicle doesn’t just look new, it works like new.
The team didn’t skimp on a single detail. From the custom trim and shades to the tiny piece of carpet at the bottom of a kitchen cabinet, everything was updated to reflect the new, stylish RV interior design. Even the bathroom has grey trim and shades.
Capping off the new style is Leisure LED lighting throughout. The interior is modern and bright and looks like it was always meant to be this way.
This ToterHome RV remodel is the latest example of what our talented Leisure Coachworks team can do with an older vehicle. The show hauler has good bones but it needed a lot of attention inside. By choosing an RV renovation, the customer kept their reliable vehicle and avoided buying a whole new rig. It looks and feels like new inside but offers the same hauling experience the customer loves.
