Leisure Coachworks Brings RV Parts to King of Hammers 2022
The Leisure Coachworks team set out on January 27, 2022, to spend a week at King of Hammers 2022. And what a week it was!
King of the Hammers (KOH) marks the beginning of the Ultra4 racing season. Held in Johnson Valley, CA, this event has grown from a few dozen off-road racers to over 500 teams. KOH offers a full series of 11 events throughout the season.
As the birthplace of Ultra4 racing, King of the Hammers sees a remarkable variety of 4-wheel drive vehicles of every configuration. The many races accommodate every type of vehicle and at the end of the week, everyone who qualifies participates in the King of the Hammers.
What is the King of the Hammers, you ask? It is the toughest, most challenging off-road single-day race in the world.
This racing extravaganza spans a full week and tens of thousands of spectators enjoy the action. RVs camp all over Johnson Valley and come to Hammertown every day to catch their favorite races and enjoy food, music, and a host of vendors.
We were excited to participate with a booth at this increasingly popular event. We offered a great selection of Leisure Family Brand parts at great prices. Visitors chose from Leisure Cords, LED lights, and much more as they combined their love of racing with their RV lifestyle.
King of the Hammers gave us a chance to meet a lot of great people and take in some exciting races. KOH is an amazing venue, filled with fun and excitement every day.
Fans enjoyed kicking off the Ultra4 2022 season and the famous King of the Hammers finale race. Any event that draws a lot of RV campers turns into a festival of family fun. The RV community never disappoints and we enjoyed meeting the off-road racing enthusiasts in this group.

We were excited to be onsite for a weekend of NASCAR in late February 2022. Leisure Coachworks brought string lights to give away, quality RV parts for sale, and expert RV repair and service to our infield trailer.
It was a weekend filled with exciting races, lots of noise, and plenty of RV living! RV families from all over converged on the Auto Club Speedway bringing enthusiasm, joy, and fun to the event.
We ran into some old friends, met a lot of new friends, and gave away every last string light we brought along. This amazing RV community was welcoming and friendly, just as we knew they would be.
They also brought their fair share of RV repair and parts needs! We prevented a lot of ruined RV trips with replacement parts installed on the spot.
The last thing you need during your weekend at the races is a dead battery or a broken water pump. We sold and installed so many of both that we ran out! Note for next year: bring more RV batteries and water pumps!
We also sold a lot of exhaust system extensions. We’re so glad we could provide this life saving service. Leisure Coachworks always wants you to be safe when you run your generator. Protecting our RV families is priority number one for us no matter where we go.
You can’t plan for everything, and mishaps are part of the adventure that is RV living. A weekend at NASCAR wouldn’t be the same if there wasn’t an RV problem for the community to band together and fix!
This weekend, Leisure Coachworks was able to rescue an RV owner from their own vehicle.
WHAT??
Don’t worry, no one was in danger. But they did have a broken lock that trapped them in their coach. We were happy to be able to spring the unlucky RVer and let them get on with their weekend.
We love attending events, and NASCAR is big and fun and exciting. We’re grateful to the race organizers for their hard work and dedication to the NASCAR RV community. Without them, we would have been unable to provide the RV parts and repairs everyone needed for a great weekend.
